Illustrated with a woodblock print of Helen Siegl's that was created for the book under production at the time, "The Dialogues of Creatures Berball". Printed on a thin rag paper with a deckled edge. Two parallel creases where it was folded to fit in a mailing envelope which can be easily removed. Suitable for framing. Photographs gladly provided. Fine.

First Edition. 42 pp. Most likely bound by The Janus Press as a keepsake for subscribers and friends, although composed and printed by the Stinehour Press. Paper covered boards with a brown cloth spine and small applied paper label to title. Gift inscription dated 1976 from Claire Van Vliet on second free endpaper. An exceptional copy of the catalog raisonne of the first twenty years of The Janus Press.
Newark, VT/London: Janus Press/Gefn Press Unlimited, 1998. Facsimile. Originally published in 1985 by the Gefn Press of London in an edition of thirty copies with lithographs of handstamped text and images drawn by Susan Johanknecht. This is a half-size facsimiled printed offset by The Stinehour Press and under the imprint Gefn Janus Unlimited. Accordion fold binding with no use of adhesive or stitching, quite simple and ingenious. Wrapped in a scarf-like red wine-colored paper and nestles in a two part white box with a gold sleeve that slips over the boxes with titling black at cover and spine. Photographs gladly provided. An ode to shoes. Fine.
