These two items, which match in height and have similarities in design both have paper covers over boards. Both copies are housed in a custom slipcase with a leather spine and gold embossed titling. Both volumes heavily illustrated with black and white photographs and descriptions of the textiles and their origin. "The Alfred I. Barton Collection of Southwestern Textiles" also contains three color serigraphs by Louie Ewing that reproduce vibrant Pueblo, Navajo, and Rio Grande tribal designs at the beginning of each section illustrating their work.
