Subtitle, "Late Principal of the University of Edinburgh, and Historiographer to His Majesty for Scotland." Half-calf, with gilt rules and marbled boards. Red speckled edges. Spine is missing. Covers are aged and quite worn. Some of the paper on upper third of front paste-down has been removed from excessive erasing. Corner of pp. 83-84 is torn off, but text is not affected. Good.
