Encyclopedic set on the natural world with both color and black and white illustrations. In original, rare wood shipping crate, emblazoned with "Nature Lovers Library. Six Volumes. Buckram" on ends. Lacking lid. Heavy set, will require additional shipping. Very Good.

Full leather binding with bold embossed border on front and rear boards of each volume with inset border of blind embossed Greek keys. Four raised bands at spine, two burgundy patch titles on each volume with titles embossed in gold. Light chipping and wear to each volume hinges still tight, leather has not split at hinges as is common with an edition of this age bound in leather. Bookplate of previous owner, Charles Brune Henville, affixed to front pastedown of each volume. Light foxing to preliminary pages of each.....
