Cruikshank, George. London: John Fairburn, 1825, 1826. Full Leather. First Edition. xvi, 448; xvi, 448, xvii, 448 pp. 8vo. Bound in deep red leather with gold embossed borders with decorative florets in the corner of each, five raised bands to spine, gold embossed panel decoration and titling. Wear and scuffing to covers, loses at corners, pastedowns of each volume decorated with gold embossed dentelles, marbled endpapers. All edges gilt. Text blocks were trimmed slightly in this contemporary binding, some foxing present throughout. Cruikshank's many illustrations have just a daub of hand applied color, frontispiece of each volume has heavy hand coloring. Good.
