Bennett, Member of Assembly." Text, consisting of reports from various Commissioners and Deputy Commissioners, is enlivened by over 100 detailed, b/w, many full-page, illustrations by Hy S. Watson. These illustrations would seem more suited to a work of fiction, or a hunting and fishing periodical of the day, than to this publication. They almost appear to tell a story. The tiny book has a fold-out map inserted first, with maps of both France and Europe on one side; the world and the solar system on the reverse. A second t.p. reads: "Cadeau des Muses, ou Almanach Universel, Etrennes Utiles et Agreables. Annee bissextile 1832." A fascinating little tome in French. Very Good.

Light spotting to spine of each volume, barely noticeable. Minor scuffing to blue buckram covered slipcases. Slipcase housing has the small drawer at the top with the magnifying glass for reading the dictionaries. No dust jackets as issued. Heavy set, may require additional postage charge. Very Good.

Leather cover somewhat worn, particularly at corners, and gilt lettering on spine is almost gone. That said, the book is amazingly good. Marbled eps, with ffep missing. Title page has traces of red stain (from edges?). Six-page introducution is followed by a fold-out map of lands of the Bible. In French. Very Good.
