Title page and plates hand colored and depict French soldiers in various battles from the Crusades through World War I and including Joan of Arc. Original folio with some staining to front and rear, colored illustration on cover board of a French World War I helmet within a wreath, original ribbon ties in France's colors of red, white and blue in original condition and still bright.
Published in an edition of 500, this is #446. Illustrtations all by Guy Arnoux.
