Pasted-down, color reproduction of a small globular pot, on the front cover, is a little scratched and/or chipped along the bottom edge. Covers are aged, soiled and chipped along extremities. Approx. 4" is missing from top of spine and approx. 2" is missing from bottom. Edges are soiled. Frontis color plate of a "Globular Chinese Vase (Han) plus 5 additional color plates w/ protective tissues. Occasional b/w photos accompany the text as well as 27 full page b/w plates which all show several pieces of pottery. Corner of one of the color plates is creased, but it does not affect the image. Interior is slightly aged, but clean and crisp. Very Good.

"An authoritative account" of the history of the glass company from beginning to its end in 1958, with 2200+ items of glass, silver, and other products illustrated in 64 color and 510 b/w ills.

Contents are near fine, unbound. Full-page b/w photos of fine antique furnishings from 1760-1810. Eleven pp. of text in French precede the list of plates. The Larkin Company was a very successful mail order company that sold soap and become known for its buying plans allowing consumers to purchase individually or cooperatively and earn valuable premiums based on their purchases. An early Vice President was Elbert Hubbard, founder of the Roycrofters. Larkin built its famous Larkin Administration Building (1904-1906) in Buffalo, New York, by Frank Lloyd Wright; it was razed in 1950. The folder has done its job of keeping this exquisite collection clean and safe. There is a six-page introductory ms. in French, and then 40 individual plates of French furniture, collated by the Conservateur du Musee Archeologique de Rennes. Very Good Plus.
