Clean and crisp within, 19 plates, 13 maps, some folding. Very Good.

Brown paper endpapers, beautiful color illustrations from the original French version, this English translation matches the text with illustrations perfectly. Photographs gladly provided. Very Good.

Beautifully bound set with three quater leather bindings in brown leather, green cloth inset to cover boards, five raised bands to spines, red leather patch title with gold embossed titling, small blind embossed acord (?) in the center of each panel without lettering. Foredges marbled. Interiors have light foxing throughout. Volume I contains two folding maps: Map of the Gulf of Mexico and Map of South American. Volume II contains the folding plates: an illustration of a Mayan or Incan relief carvings, a Map of the Countries on the South Sea from Panama to Guayquil, and a Map of Mexico or New Spain.
