We kick off our Summer season with an incredible signing. United StatesSenator George Mitchell will join us on July 16th to talk about and sign his memoir, The Negotiator. A chronicle of his life from his the early years in Lewiston to his service as Maine’s United States Senator from 1980 to 1995 (serving as Senate Majority Leader from 1989 to 1995), Special Envoy to both Northern Ireland and the Middle East, investigator into the use of steroids in professional baseball, and Chairman of the Walt Disney Company. It will be an honor and privilege to welcome such a distinguished speaker to Islesboro.
