Chicago: American School at Armour Institute of Technology, 1902. Half Leather. First Edition. 1141 pp. This is a bound collection of "Instruction Papers" from the American School at Armour Institute of Technology. Each section contains instruction (frequently augmented by diagrams and/or pictures) followed by questions (and answers). The book is bound in maroon cloth with spine and corners of cordovan leather. Spine has five raised bands trimmed with gilt plus black title block. The leather is edgeworn, and there is a scrape on upper front corner, but cover is basically very good and binding is tight. Topics include: Mathematics (Arithmetic, Elementary Algebra and Mensuration), Mechanics, Mechanism, Heat, Elements of Chemistry, Metallurgy, Elements of Electricity, The Electric Current, Machine Design, Theory of Dynamo-Electric Machinery, Direct Current Dynamos, Direct Current Motors, Types of Dynamo-Electric Machinery, and Types of Boilers. Book is clean and tight, although there is some tiny math figuring on back eps. Very Good Plus.
