Volume I has been rebound in a recent red binding with gold embossed titling to spine. Large folding frontispiece view of the Belfast waterfront is clean and crisp with no tears, all plates and illustration clean and in Fine condition except for map of the "Burnt District" opposite p. 728 which has two tears but all is intact. Volume II in the original burgundy publisher's binding with dark blue endpapers. Covers scuffed slightly from shelf wear, clean and tight within. Very Good.
The elusive and scarce two volume history of Belfast, Maine. Volume I covers the period from first settlement in 1770 to 1875, Volume II covers 1875-1913.
