An engaging biography by Merle Armitage (1893-1975), who also provided the stunning design of this book, of Stella Dysart (1878-1966) who struck it rich in uranium in New Mexico in 1955. A controversial figure in the oil business, Dysart experienced decades of failure before one of her dry wells revealed large uranium deposits.
