New York: American Bible Society, 1845. Full Leather. Fifth Edition. Black leather boards blind embossed with an intricate design on cover boards, five raised bands at spine and Holy Bible in gold. Text block edges gilded, some wearing off at foot of block. Front pastedown split at gutter, but intact and tight to text block. Inscribed in ink on first free endpaper as follows: "The property of Ellis and Rhoda F. Fish, St. Albans, August 1848." One page typed Fish family bio on sheet of paper, also a Family Geneology page starting with a family record of births, beginning with the heads of the family, Eliab Fish , Augsut 9, 1779 & Sarah Fish, march 17, 1788; and their 9 children. Ellis Fish & Rhoda Fhora Frances Rieken of Waterville, Maine, were married on April 4, 1838. Very Good.
