Marbled paper endpapers, replicated on foredges of text block. Light chipping to head of spine on Volume I. Otherwise average wear and scuffing for a set of this age. Very clean within. Very Good.

A delightful set in very good condition (normal wear: heads of all volumes nicked and worn, corners worn). 16mos in 3/4 red leather, red boards, gilt-decorated spine with raised bands and contra sting leather labels, t.e.g. Frontis portraits of Browning, all different, appear in 3 of the vols. The other volume's frontis is a rendering of "Guido Franceschini," a character in the poem "Half-Rome."
