Foxing to prelims, repaired, and is All colored plates present and in very good condition, line drawings throughout. Foxing to rear pastedowns and prelims as well. Engraved and Printed by Edmund Evans. A wonderful collection of Caldecott's work.
This is copy #352 of 800, limitation page also has a facsimile of the signature of the engraver, Edmund Evans. Very Good.

A recent plastic cover was wrapped around boards, ghostiing from tape on mylar has trasnferred to pastedowns. Fold out broadside of hunting notes for the hunter's horn and the type of animal sighted or killed bound in opposite title page with small tear mid-fold. Clean within. Limited to 650 copies, numbers I-L were bound in limp vellum, this is copy #492 of the 600 copies that were hardbound with a faux vellum backstrip. Very Good.

Takarazuka, Japan: Kiyoshi Kojin, 1957. Wraps. First Edition. Unpag. 28 plates. White covers have title on front in black, a small design in red. Covers just a bit soiled. Paper jacket is a vivid persimmon color, with black lettering in English on front, Japanese on back cover. T.p. and introductory text in English. Japanese language at back of book may indicate the same information these. In between are 28 beautiful plates, some in color, from this gifted artist of the "Chinese Southern School." Included in the book is a folding paper-case whose cover matches the book jacket, containing six postcards of Tessai's work. Very Good / very good.

Explanatory text and two chromocollotype plates (one double) in wraps, along with 4 pages of black & white photographs of cave paintings from which some of these illustrations were derived. Cave paintings copied by M. Helen Tongue for this publication. Published with 54 individual color plates and map as to where the paintings were found (all present and in Fine condition) that accompany the volume and all are housed in a the original cardboard clamshell box. Box has considerable wear and repairs with splitting at edges, fair condition at best.
Also contains, "Notes on the Bushmen" by E. & D. Bleek, pp. 36-44. Very Good.
