" Maybe the most famous line in this romantic poem, it's in a lovely copy of the book, a first of dated reproductions (BAL 22258). Textured brown leather is stamped with an elaborate scrolled border in black. Five raised bands on spine with black decorations in each compartment, gilt title. Touches of wear to spine extremities and corners, with some rubbing at all corners. Dentelles at edges and insides of eps. Red and blue marbled eps. Neat printed bookplate on front paste-down. There is a gift inscr. in pencil on first fly. All edges gilt. T.p. says 1867; copyrighted 1866. BAL states a first printing of 1000 copies on Oct. 8, 1866. Very Good.
