Red leather covered boards with extensive gold tooling to cover boards, spine with five raised bands and black leather patch titles. Light scuffing and wear to boards, bumping to corners, losses to lower right corner of front and rear covers of each volume. Title patch of Volume I has a small loss at upper left corner, highly expected given the age of the volumes. Text block has gilded edges, endpapers marbled, light foxing to prelims and the occasional spot within. Lavishly illustrated with woodblock prints by Vecellio documenting clothing of the Sixteenth Century, primarlily of the upper clases. Originally published in Venice in 1590 as "De gli Habiti Antichi e ModÈrni di Diversi Parti di Mondo". Text is in both Italian and French. Photographs gladly provided. Very Good.
