New York: John Lane, 1901. Hardcover. 282 pp. Front cover and spine have elaborate, bright stamped gilt lettering and decoration. White leather covers and spine are aged, soiled and worn along edges. Spine is torn along front hinge at ends. Spine ends are worn, frayed and chipped. Corners are bumped and frayed to the boards. Small bookseller's plate on front paste-down. Frontis engraving, with protective tissue, of "The Student, after J.E.L. Meissonier." Text is somewhat aged, but clean. Very Good.
