Boston: Ticknor and Fields, 1866. Hardcover. First Edition. 141 pp. Covers, which were probably originally red, have since faded to a maroonish-brown. Covers have blind stamped rules. Front cover has gilt lettering inside a decorative gilt border. Covers and spine are aged and edgeworn. Spine torn for approx. 3/4" at top end hinges. Inscription in black ink on ffep is dated, "Christmas 1866." Text is aged. Good.
