Edinburgh, New York, Toronto: Thomas Nelson & Sons, 1945. Light Blue Cloth. Presumed First. Unpag., 30 pp. includes many, often full-page, "original lithographs drawn on stone by Alan Crane." Front cover has a blind-stamped illustration of Mayan ornamentation which matches the illustration at the bottom of the last page. Lettering on spine. Covers and spine are somewhat aged, soiled and sun-struck along edges. Rear spine hinge is bubbled. Spine ends are badly bumped. Illustrated DJ, in protective cover, is somewhat aged, soiled and chipped along extremities. Front and rear eps are matching, two-page, pastel lithographs labeled "Uxmal." Interior is clean, crisp and tight. Ephemera: an August 1945 copy of the brochure"Young Wings" from the Book Club for Young Americans, published by the Junior Literary Guild. This 5"x7 1/2" publication contains a one-page review of "Nick and Nan in the Yucatan," as well as a three-page, illustrated article by Alan Crane entitled "When I Went to Yucatan." Good Plus / Good.
