Paris: Labrairie Hachette & Cie. 1915. Paper Wraps. First Edition. 90 French War Poems. Ivory wraps with touches of red and blue in a flag are aged, brittle, and chipped. Cover reads "Vendus au profit de la Societe Francaise de Secours aux Blesses Militaires." Front cover is completely detached. Others holding but fragile. Spots of age and soil on prelims, but the poems themselves show only traces of foxing. A poignant little book written by a retired artillery officer who reenlisted for World War I as he recovers from battle wounds. All in French and seldom found. Good.
